On September 4, 2005, Patrick Kirk crossed over to a higher plane, at the age of 33. His ashes were interred at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden, N.J. Sept. 24

I stop on the street sometimes and marvel at how I still see Philadelphia through Patrick's eyes. He was the first friend I had downtown, and there are so many things in my neighborhood that I saw for the first time with him. I hope you know just how much he influenced my perception of the city, and my attitude toward equality and ethics. I wish he could be here, and hope that he would be proud of the qualities he inspired in me.
